'Waiting for Godot' set Friday and Saturday
The Tyler Junior College speech and drama department will present Samuel Beckett's poetic play "Waiting for Godot" this weekend.
Performances are 6 and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Jean Browne Theatre, located in Wise Cultural Arts Center on the TJC main campus.
Admission is free.
"Waiting for Godot" depicts two bums waiting for the mysterious Mr. Godot to come and save them. The character of Godot is often compared to God, and the play is interpreted as the human condition as it waits for God to return.
"Considered the best of all of the absurdist plays, 'Waiting for Godot' will make you laugh and think," said director Rebecca Faulds.
